Exceptional education and care for preschool children in Clunes

Clunes Community Preschool has provided early childhood education and childcare to the local Northern Rivers community for over 40 years. We understand that each child is unique and we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and safe place for children to play, create and be challenged. Our program encourages children to connect with the natural world and our centre is embraced by nature.

Bordered by tall native trees, our preschool environment is intentionally planned to encourage exploration of the natural environment and active social play. Children learn to connect and care for themselves and others, and for the natural world too.

Our program emphasises physical and emotional wellbeing through nutrition and physical education, relaxation and mindfulness, and a program that is designed to build resilience and confidence in children.

Our preschool is non-profit and managed by our families and the community for the benefit of children in Clunes and surrounding areas, to provide opportunities for play and learning, and to help children and families to transition to formal schooling. Preschool enables children to develop in confidence, make friends and become connected to their peers, and to learn new skills. We really believe that great early childhood experiences set children up for life, and we work to provide an experience that is both nurturing and challenging, supporting children to become creative thinkers, aware of themselves and others, and citizens who contribute positively to our communities.

Our preschool is part of the Northern Rivers Preschool Alliance, Community Early Learning Australia, and Early Childhood Australia.
