The Preschool is managed by the Directors on behalf of and in conjunction with the Board of Management, which is made up of parents and interested community members.
The Board of Management is responsible for ensuring that the preschool is financially viable, meeting its legal requirements, providing a supportive working environment for staff, and building strong links with the local community. The preschool reflects the values and ideas of those parents involved at any given time. The Board of Management and staff work together to achieve the best possible learning environment for the children. We urge all families to be involved in the management of the preschool, and new families are always welcome!
This year, we welcome Alex Luther to the role of president. His role is to co-ordinate the Board, to chair meetings, and to represent the board outside of the preschool.
We also welcome Mel McKay as the secretary and Jakeb Currie as the preschool’s treasurer.
Outgoing president Jo Weatherhead is staying on in the role of vice president – she has been in this role for many years and her experience is invaluable in supporting new members.
Taryn Bowmer and Chloe Delaney are staying on our board as committee members and their experience will be so helpful in decision making - Chloe for several years as our secretary.
